A 65-year-old man was shot and arrested by police after injuring two women with a knife in the Madou District on Wednesday morning. Officers fired shots to subdue the attacker, leaving him and at least one responding officer injured alongside the victims. The motive behind the attack remains unclear as police continue their investigation.
Unresolved: Sources disagree on the number of police officers hurt and the wounds sustained by the suspect, with one report stating one officer was slashed and the suspect was hit in the abdomen and thigh, while another reports two officers suffered light injuries and the suspect was shot once in the left thigh.
