Captured record

Captured between 2026-10-23T02:22:20.669Z and 2026-10-23T02:22:20.685Z. This is a captured core record, not a reconstruction of an arbitrary earlier moment.

Distress signal reported in the Eastern North Pacific

Status: withdrawn

A 406 MHz distress signal was detected in the Eastern North Pacific at coordinates 31-18.50N 129-29.60W, prompting a navigational warning for nearby vessels to assist. Maritime authorities have asked ships in the area to keep a lookout and relay findings to search and rescue officials in Alameda. The identity of the vessel and the nature of the distress have not been confirmed.

Withdrawn: published with a date we did not read. The source warning carries a military date-time group our parser could not read, so the record fell back to the time we ingested it and dated a 2021-2024 maritime broadcast as 2026-09-09. The incident described may be real; the date we gave it was ours, not the source's.
