Status: withdrawn
A distress signal has been received from coordinates 42-26.20S 014-07.20E in the eastern South Atlantic, according to a navigational warning. Vessels in the area have been asked to keep watch and assist if possible. The identity of the vessel and the nature of the distress are not yet known.
Withdrawn: published with a date we did not read. The source warning carries a military date-time group our parser could not read, so the record fell back to the time we ingested it and dated a 2021-2024 maritime broadcast as 2026-09-09. The incident described may be real; the date we gave it was ours, not the source's.
