Captured record

Captured between 2026-10-13T00:52:48.785Z and 2026-10-13T00:52:48.810Z. This is a captured core record, not a reconstruction of an arbitrary earlier moment.

Red flare reported sighted in Gulf of Mexico

Status: withdrawn

A navigational warning reports that a red flare was sighted in the Gulf of Mexico, with vessels in the vicinity requested to keep a lookout and assist if possible. The report was relayed through maritime rescue authorities in Miami. It is not yet known whether a vessel is in distress or if anyone is in danger.

Withdrawn: published with a date we did not read. The source warning carries a military date-time group our parser could not read, so the record fell back to the time we ingested it and dated a 2021-2024 maritime broadcast as 2026-09-09. The incident described may be real; the date we gave it was ours, not the source's.
