Captured record

Captured between 2026-09-18T07:22:44.681Z and 2026-09-18T07:22:44.699Z. This is a captured core record, not a reconstruction of an arbitrary earlier moment.

Distress signal reported in western North Atlantic

Status: withdrawn

A 406 MHz distress signal has been detected in the western North Atlantic at coordinates 20-53.00N 064-10.00W. Maritime authorities have requested that nearby vessels maintain a sharp lookout and offer assistance if possible. The nature of the distress and the identity of the vessel or persons involved have not been reported.

Withdrawn: published with a date we did not read. The source warning carries a military date-time group our parser could not read, so the record fell back to the time we ingested it and dated a 2021-2024 maritime broadcast as 2026-09-09. The incident described may be real; the date we gave it was ours, not the source's.
