Protesters attack government office and police station in Siang district
Demonstrators protesting a proposed power project set fire to an NHPC office and a police station in Siang district, and vandalised the residence of the state BJP president following earlier clashes. Security forces reportedly fired tear gas, and at least five women were reported injured during the confrontations. The full extent of casualties and property damage has not yet been confirmed.
