Storm Austen causes power cuts and school closures in south-west England

Storm Austen brought severe conditions and wind gusts of up to 76mph to south-west England on Friday morning, cutting power to more than 16,000 homes. Dozens of schools were reported closed across Cornwall as the storm hit coastal areas. The full extent of service disruption and structural damage remains unconfirmed.
