Taiwan fines and deports two foreign nationals over surrogacy promotion

Taiwanese authorities in Kaohsiung have fined a Chinese social media influencer 200,000 New Taiwan dollars and deported two individuals for promoting commercial surrogacy and assisted reproduction services. An investigation by the National Immigration Agency and the Kaohsiung City Department of Health determined that the pair entered under tourist status and violated regulations governing medical advertising and immigration terms. Officials have imposed an entry ban for a specified period, though the duration of the exclusion has not been publicly stated.
