The opposition National Rally for Reform and Development party, known as Tewassoul, held simultaneous protests across Mauritania on Wednesday. Demonstrations occurred in the three regions of Nouakchott and regional capitals nationwide against a proposed third presidential term, rising prices, and perceived corruption.
