Chinese tech firms place reported $35 billion order for Nvidia chips
ByteDance, Alibaba, and Tencent have ordered over 3 million RTX PRO 5500 graphics processing units valued at more than $35 billion from Nvidia, according to Reuters citing people familiar with the matter. The companies are procuring the export-compliant processors amid ongoing United States trade restrictions. Independent reports suggest the buyers may receive only 5 to 10 percent of the ordered volume, while Nvidia's market share in the region continues to decline.
