Australian MP injured in vehicle collision outside Wangaratta electorate office
Federal independent MP Helen Haines was hospitalised with serious injuries on Monday after being struck by a vehicle outside her electorate office in Wangaratta. Police reported that a 43-year-old driver was restrained at the scene by a bystander, taken into custody, and found with a knife inside the vehicle. Investigators have not yet confirmed whether the incident was intentional.
