Ebola cases reported in Nord-Ubangi province, Democratic Republic of the Congo

Two cases of Ebola have been reported in the province of Nord-Ubangi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, an area bordering the Central African Republic. The reports state that the epidemic has expanded into an eighth province, with more than 9,400 cases recorded overall. Further details regarding local transmission and potential additional infections in the area have not yet been confirmed.
