Suspected gas leak triggers residential building evacuation in Taoyuan

Emergency services evacuated a residential building in Taoyuan after residents and a security guard reported symptoms including coughing and breathing difficulties. Two people were taken to hospital following reports of an odor suspected to be hydrogen sulfide. While early reports indicated elevated hydrogen sulfide levels, later investigation identified the source as a discharged pepper spray canister.
