Airstrikes in Shamal al-Wadi kill gold miners

Airstrikes on October 10 struck artisanal gold miners at Shamal al-Wadi in northern Red Sea state. Miners and Sudanese rights groups have attributed the strikes to Egyptian aircraft, while Egypt states its operations against illegal prospecting remained within its own territory. No government has officially claimed responsibility for the strikes.
