Hong Kong reports imported mpox case as monthly infections drop

Hong Kong's Centre for Health Protection confirmed an imported case of mpox involving a 36-year-old man who is in stable condition at Princess Margaret Hospital. Health authorities noted that confirmed infections during the first 15 days of the month fell by over 60 percent compared to the same period in September, alongside a comparable rise in vaccinations. An epidemiological investigation into the patient's recent travel and contacts remains ongoing.
