Suspected bandits killed five farmers and abducted 18 people across several communities in Niger State between October 9 and 12, according to local reports. Attacks and the burning of houses and shops were reported in Fanga community in Mashegu Local Government Area, alongside Kigbere and Kokani in Borgu Local Government Area. The identities of the attackers have not been officially confirmed.
