Hong Kong SFC halts trading in multiple stocks over IPO manipulation probe
Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission has halted trading in ChaPanda and Cloudbreak Pharma as part of an investigation into suspected initial public offering manipulation. The regulator said it took action against two syndicates suspected of engaging in fraudulent schemes to manufacture artificial demand for shares across three listed companies, with over HK$4.6 billion in assets frozen. The full scope of the manipulation remains unresolved as the SFC stated that its investigation is ongoing.
