Man dies after falling into waters at Kaohsiung port

A man fell into the water at Zhongyun Fishing Port in Kaohsiung's Linyuan District on the morning of October 13, prompting his elderly father to enter the sea in a rescue attempt. Coast guard personnel deployed remote-controlled life buoys and pulled both individuals from the water, but the son was later pronounced dead at a hospital while his father survived. The precise circumstances leading to the initial fall remain under investigation.
