More than 160,000 demonstrate across France in student-led protests

Tens of thousands of people gathered across France, including in Paris and Marseille, in support of high school and university student protests now in their third week. Reports indicate that over 160,000 people took to the streets nationwide, with student groups estimating that 90 percent of universities were unable to hold classes normally. While cumulative arrests have reached a reported 6,800, comprehensive figures for nationwide injuries have not been released.
