Saudi ambassador reports Bab el-Mandeb cleared of Houthi forces

Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed Al Jaber stated that the strategic Bab el-Mandeb Strait has been cleared of Houthi forces following a government offensive launched this week. The offensive follows reported advances by Houthi forces to Mayyun Island in September. The claim has not been independently verified, and Houthi representatives have not commented.
