Fire halts operations at Cardon refinery in Venezuela

Operations at Venezuela's 310,000-barrel-per-day Cardon refinery have been halted following a fire at a gas line connected to a diesel hydrotreater unit. Personnel were evacuated and the blaze has been brought under control. State oil company PDVSA has not commented publicly on the incident.
