Japan orders Chinese research vessel to leave its exclusive economic zone

The Japan Coast Guard stated that it ordered a Chinese research vessel to depart from Japan's exclusive economic zone after the ship conducted unauthorised scientific operations in the area. According to Japanese authorities, the vessel left the zone following repeated warnings. Chinese officials have not publicly responded to the statements.
