Japan issues routine ashfall forecasts for multiple active volcanoes

Routine ashfall advisories have been published for several volcanoes in Japan, including Meakan-dake, Tokachi-dake, Mount Aso, Sakurajima, and Satsuma-Iwojima, outlining projected ash dispersion directions should eruptions occur. The warnings cover alert levels two and three, which enforce restrictions around the craters and entry prohibitions. It is not yet reported whether any of the monitored volcanoes have commenced new eruptive activity.
