Protesters in New Delhi demand resignation of Election Commission chief

Demonstrators led by youth groups, student organisations, and advocacy movements gathered in New Delhi for a third consecutive day to demand the resignation of Election Commission Chief Gyanesh Kumar over revisions to the voter registry. The protests follow earlier demonstrations organised by the same online youth movement that targeted the country's education minister. Official responses to the demands from the Election Commission or the prime minister's office have not been reported.
