US issues updated sanctions licences for Venezuelan oil sector

The United States Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control has issued three updated general licences authorising specific transactions involving Venezuelan petroleum and petrochemical products. The measures permit the supply of goods and services alongside negotiations for contingent energy investment contracts, while restrictions on the petro digital currency remain in force. Further operational details regarding the implementation of the expanded permissions have not been reported.
