Sugarcane farmers hold protests in Karnataka over pricing talks

Sugarcane farmers gathered for demonstrations in Karnataka, including a major assembly reported at Kittur Chennamma Circle concerning price negotiations. Reports indicate outreach by public officials, including an invitation to hold discussions in Delhi with Union Minister Joshi. Initial reporting leaves the status of the demonstrations and the agreement to attend the talks unresolved.
