High Court issues injunction against Orange Order Drumcree parade in Portadown

The High Court in Belfast has issued an injunction preventing an Orange Order parade along the Garvaghy Road in Portadown. The order followed a refusal by the Portadown District Orange Lodge to postpone the march after a request from Judge Patricia Smyth. It remains unresolved whether the parade or planned counter-demonstrations will proceed despite the ruling.
