Residential fire in Chiayi burns wooden buildings

A fire broke out in a residential wooden building on Yanping Street in Chiayi City on the evening of 23 May, spreading to at least two households before emergency services brought it under control within forty minutes. Firefighters reported that the structure was fully engulfed in flames, with no individuals initially reported trapped inside. The cause of the fire and the full extent of the damage have not yet been confirmed.
