Taiwan equities rebound following US Federal Reserve rate hike
Taiwanese shares rebounded sharply to close at 47,180 points after dipping to a low of 45,511 points, driven by foreign institutional investors purchasing 86.9 billion New Taiwan dollars on Friday. The rally ended a five-session selling streak by foreign funds, lifting the benchmark index by nearly 1,000 points across the week. Market analysts cautioned that trading volume has not yet confirmed sustained momentum above the previous high of 48,218 points.
