Taiwan activates fourth undersea communication cable connecting Matsu
Chunghwa Telecom and Taiwan's Ministry of Digital Affairs announced the completion and activation of the fourth submarine cable linking Taiwan and Matsu. The nearly 300-kilometer cable expands total transmission capacity to approximately 1.9 Tbps and is routed to bypass fishing zones to mitigate disruption risks.
