Strike reduces capacity at Dunkirk gas terminal

Industrial action across the energy sector has reduced sendout capacity at the Dunkirk liquefied natural gas terminal, according to terminal operator Fluxys. The 24-hour strike over proposed reductions to employee benefits was also expected to cut French electricity supply by up to 5 gigawatts on Tuesday. The full extent of the impact on national gas and power networks remains unconfirmed.
