Provincial authorities and civil society groups reported on Tuesday that security and humanitarian conditions deteriorated following an incursion by AFC/M23 rebels into Kaniola, located in South Kivu's Walungu territory. Local actors reported that the group committed human rights violations against civilians, including killings and looting.
