Chinese naval vessels tracked near Japanese straits and islands
Japanese authorities reported the movements of several Chinese naval vessels in waters near Japan. A Dongdiao-class surveillance ship was tracked travelling east through the Osumi Strait, while Jiangkai II and Luyang III-class vessels were monitored operating east of Kikai Island and heading southwest between Amami Oshima and Yokoatejima. Further operational details regarding their destinations or mission objectives were not specified in the release.
